DON GUILLET - DRUMS

FAVOURITE SKYNYRD SONG: THAT SMELL.

Born in the mid sixties, Don was the youngest sibling to a sister and a brother, eight and five years older than him respectively. Each of them helped pave the way for him with their own musical talents as well as their hand-me-down albums & cassettes. A piano in the den was the launching pad for all – something Don recommends for every home. This led to trumpet and then guitar and finally Don landed on the drum kit. Over the years Don continued to play drums for various bands, both Country and Rock in his spare time. Most recently with the rock band Liquid Midnight.

When the band Symply Skynyrd came along it was as if everything Don had done up until now was leading to this. No doubt one of the greatest southern rock bands, Lynyrd Skynyrd walked a very fine line between rock and country music.
